AUTISM AWARENESS CLUB: This club's purpose is to raise student awareness about autism.
COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE: Highlights of this active club include a Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens and several fundraising projects for different organizations.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS/ANIMAL AWARENESS: This group discusses local environmental issues and raises awareness in the community.
GLOBAL ANGELS: This club raises money for the prevention of global sex trafficking.
GLOBAL VILLAGE: This club raises awareness on global issues such as the Sudan genocide, Niger famine, and tsunami relief. Activities include charity fundraisers, publishing a newspaper, and participating in the Heifer Project.
H.E.A.R.D. (O Ambassador): Helping East Asia Reach Dreams is a joint project of Oprah's Angel Network and Free the Children. This club participates in events that address problems such as hunger, poverty, and limited access to education.
OPERATION SMILE: This group helps children with facial deformities receive life-changing surgery by fundraising and volunteering.
PAY IT FORWARD: This club promotes the spread of good deeds in our local area.
PEER AIDS EDUCATOR: This group organizes fundraisers for the school and the community for AIDS research.
RED CROSS CLUB: Work with the Red Cross to increase awareness about community and worldwide disasters, and raise money for disaster relief efforts.
RIBBONS AWARENESS: This club raises money through ribbon sales, car washes, and walks for selected disorders represented by different months and colored ribbons.
SPECS (Students Putting an End to Cancer) / Rebel Runners: This group promotes the awareness of cancer and related issues.
Support our Troops: Participate in initiatives to honor veteran members of our armed forces with this group. Advisor:
The Midnight Run: Members collect clothing and other goods, as well as prepare food for homeless in NYC. One weekend day a month the group goes into the city to distribute these supplies.
